Changing the Upload Settings of Your Google Drive


You need to change the upload setting of you google drive firstly, then it will convert uploaded files to google docs editor format. So just do the following steps:

#1 Go to the google drive site and sign up with your account (https://drive.google.com/).

#2 click the Settings icon at the top right corner, and select Upload settings menu from the drop down list, then click Convert uploaded files to Google Docs format.

#3 click upload button to upload a workbook file and it will be converted to google sheet format automatically.

 

Import Excel sheet file to Google Spreadsheet


You can also import an excel workbook file to the current google spreadsheet file. Just do the following steps:

#1 click “Create” button and then select Spreadsheet to create one new google spreadsheet file.

#2 select File tab, and click Import… from the drop down list. The Import file dialog will appear.

#3 click “Choose File” button to select one excel workbook file that you want to import. Click Import button.

#4 click on “Open now” button
